Dave, another excellent article. You're a true "wordsmith". I recall you writing not too long ago about giving up writing this weekly column because it takes so much of your time, and you are not sure if it makes sense with such a small audience. I want to encourage you to "soldier on" with writing. Your style of putting thought to pen or keyboard is enlightening. You have a gift for transporting your thoughts and feelings into your readers minds. Never doubt your thought-provoking writing skills my friend. As for my take on Mzzzzzz Harris becoming our president? I'm currently researching the Old Testament on building an ARK before to flood...

I really like reading your point of view. I will not be sorry to see the old bloke get sent out to the pasture.

I dislike most of what he has tried to accomplish as a puppet for whoever is holding the strings.

Their economic policies have definitely made my life tougher. I wish we had better choices but we have to make the best of it. I really would like to be proud of the USA again.

I hear ya. You'd think we could do better than this.

Nice job, Dave. We'll see how this all plays out. Since I'm in Sacramento, I fully understand the corridor effect. It (sadly) continues to reinforce the One-Party system that has provided Democrats majority or super-majority rule in our California legislature since 1959 (except ‘69, ‘70, and ‘71) per the PEW Research Center. That defines one-party politics. And then within that party they have their own shenanigans which will never get fixed without real competition. Oh well, I guess we will see what happens between now and the DNC in less than a month, and then on Nov 5th. Take care!

It looks like Kamala is already a lock for the nomination. I can't see her winning in November. Can you?

It has been over a month since you wrote this. My mostly non-political bride is hopeful to vote for a woman.

I think that when you have a mostly democrat voting press, the level of influence it wields is truly astounding. Yes, with the stagecraft surrounding Kamala, she not only can win, but very likely will.

Few Americans will remember her positions. And her move away from the 2020 extreme positions is typically allowed in politics.

I can see her winning especially if Trump reverts back to frat days. If Trump gets/stays even-keeled, thus perhaps attracting some Independents and disenfranchised DEMS, he’ll win the electoral college. I don’t want far left ideology. Trump is not, as many want to paint him, far right at all; he’s center right for sure but not crazy right. I’m fine with the experience he provides.

Even with Joe's endorsement, is it not possible they will choose someone else? Or would that be too risky from a PR perspective?
